International Psychology Association of Canada (IPAC)

IPAC is a non-profit organization based in Toronto, Canada, dedicated to the training and education of mental health professionals.  IPAC includes members of various disciplines such as psychologists, psychotherapists, psychology counsellors, and psychoanalysts, psychiatrists (M.D.),  social workers, and others professionals who are interested in becoming a psychotherapist or counsellor.

The purposes of IPAC are:
1.    To educate ethnic communities on mental health related issues such as relationship/partnership, child/parent, family, work/career, immigration and culture challenge, and to improve public awareness and knowledge.
2.    To provide access to professional mental health consultants and treatment for communities, especially of immigrants, and to assist individuals and families to gain accessible and affordable services from mental health services providers, such as psychotherapists and psychology counsellors.
3.    To facilitate and coordinate workshops for mental health professionals, and to provide training for related professionals to gain knowledge and practice in mental health consulting.
4.    To promote psychology counselling and psychotherapy practice overseas, and to support and provide training for local professionals in other countries. Target mental healthcare in communities and especially their capability in case of disasters and traumas.
The Objective of IPAC is to provide care for the psychological well-being for everyone, regardless or nationality, ethnicity, skin colour, religion or politics.
