Introducing North American online psychology training resources, and cooperation with hospitals, mental health organizations and associations in China, creating an international training platform to mental health professionals, help in the development of the field of psychological counsellor, improving information exchange and share of resources between China and overseas, advancing the overall professional quality of counsellors in China to match international standards.
1. International Psychology Association of Canada Psychological Counsellor Training Project
Lingyu is psychological counselling services provider and training institute recognized and supported by International Psychology Association of Canada (IPAC). Lingyu in cooperation with IPAC establishes “International Psychology Association of Canada Psychological Counsellor” Training Project. Training Program includes three areas: theories of psychological counselling and psychotherapy, clinical supervision group study, and individual psychological counselling and psychotherapy. Training duration is one year.
（1）Theories of psychological counselling and psychotherapy: provided by clinical supervisors from North America, through online video conference and traveling to China and provide lecture in real person. Class size of 30-60 students, each class 1.5-2 hours, once a week, total of 80-100 classes.
（2）Clinical case supervision study group: members of the study group will take turn in presenting cases, with supervision provided by experienced psychological counsellors, psychotherapists and psychoanalysts from North America. Each study group will consist of 12-15 members, meeting once a week for 1.5-2 hours. Training period lasts for 1 year, total of 50 hours.
（3）Personal psychological counselling and psychotherapy: undergo personal psychological counselling, psychotherapy and psychoanalysis by psychological counsellors and psychotherapist certified by International Psychology Association of Canada. This is totally of 80 hours.
（4）International Psychological Counsellor Certification: Real time online training with lectures given by renowned psychologists, psychoanalysts and professors of psychology, with accompanied translated lecture material into Chinese. Students will have opportunities in joining International Psychology Association of Canada with certification in Psychological Counsellor by IPAC, on the basis of performance in homework and exam, as well as completion of clinical case supervision study group and personal psychological counselling and psychotherapy.
2. Short term and medium length training, conference and workshops
Asides from long term training programs lasting 1-2 years and international psychological counsellor certificate, LINGYU also provides short term training session lasting 1-7 days, and medium-length training projects or workshops lasting 1-6 months. All programs are recognized and students will be certified by International Psychology Association of Canada.
3. Membership for International Psychological Counsellor Project
LINGYU International Psychology Centre will establish branches in Mainland China. Branches will hire local certified psychological counsellors or organizations, with training provided by LINGYU. Those who meet the requirements will be a joining member of LINGYU International Psychology Centre, provide training to students, and counselling services to individuals and companies.
4. China-Canada Psychological Counsellor and Psychotherapist Study Travel Project
LINGYU will organize professional academic conference and workshops, invite students to visit LINGYU at North America and other related mental health organizations, Chinese Community Centre of Ontario, Multicultural Association of Canada and other multicultural organization. Students who demonstrate excellent academic abilities will be awarded scholarships and opportunities for internship at LINGYU. LINGYU will also invite experienced psychological counsellors and psychotherapist to China for cooperation, academic communications and supervisions.
